Today may be one of the most nervous day of my life... I woke up; knowing that the PMR results will be release today... I'm hoping for the best but fear for the worst... I tried to stop thinking about it but I can't and it's driving me crazy... Every step I took, takes my breathe away... My hands were weak and my knees were numb... I felt the morning breeze the causes me to shiver... Looking back at my Mid term exam and Pre-PMR exam, I saw some A's and B's... But in my opinion, this PMR exam was not as tough as the previous exams... I had the confidence to score but I'm can't be over-confident...
Soon, everything turned out well and handsome and I get what I wanted... No more PMR and SPM is coming ahead in year 2007... Life is full of exams and you're never get enough of it...

The Riddles in The Dark
In a story called There And Back Again (a.k.a. The Hobbit), Bilbo Baggins set off for an adventure with Gandalf and a group of dwarves. Hobbits dislike adventures and it’s amazing for Bilbo to leave his Hobbit-hole behind and went for a treasure hunt with Gandalf and some dwarves. There was a moment when the group was attacked by Orcs (goblins) in a cave and when they try to escape the cave, Bilbo got himself separated from Gandalf and the dwarves. He fell into darkness, bumped his head on hard rock and faint. And when he woke up, this was the moment when he found a cold piece of metal ring on the ground. He tried to get out but soon found himself near a lake. That is the moment when he first met a small slimy creature and his name is Gollum… Bilbo feared that the creature will eat him off but soon they started challenging each other with riddles….
What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than a tree,

The Wood between Worlds
The Wood between Worlds"The Chronicles of Narnia"... one of my favourites from an author called C.S. Lewis.The first book is called the "The Magician's Nephew" . The book wasn't really the first book( of The Chronicles of Narnia series) written by C.S. Lewis. The book was written in 1955 after 5 other books was written. But this book is a prequel to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I took a look at the back cover and read it...
" THE ADVENTURE BEGINS ------- NARNIA... where Talking Beasts walk...where a witch waits....where a new world was born. On a daring quest to save a life, two friends are hurled into another world, where evil sorceress seeks to enslave them. But then the lion Aslan's song weaves itself into the fabric of a new land, a land that will be known as Narnia. And in Narnia, all things are possible. "
The book is about 2 children, Polly and Digory, who are neighbours and friends. They decided to explore the attic of an old and tall house. That place is fill with mystery and the children are so curious that they decided to find out what's in there. Is it haunted? Are there criminals in there? But it was a disappointment as they entered the wrong room. Soon, they found themselves inside the secret workroom of Digory's Uncle Andrew. Uncle Andrew tricks Polly and blackmails Digory to put on a ring that will bring him to an unusual place. That place is like a wood with many small pools of water. That place is called The Wood between Worlds.

On the other hand, the green ring is the one that will brings you out of the Wood between Worlds and into a world. In order to get to a world, you need to wear the green ring and jump into one of the pools of water. And this will only works when you wear the green ring. Different pools of water leads you to different worlds. It is acually very simple. The green ring will bring you into a world while the yellow ring will bring you out of a world and into the Wood between Worlds.
By the way, what can you find in the Wood between Worlds? Other than the trees, grassland, and pools of water, you will find absolutely nothing; no people and no other objects. All the pools of water and trees are identical so if you are in there, you can easily get lost. The Wood between Worlds is so quiet that it gives you a dreamy feeling. You could just lie down and sleep forever. And if you entered the Wood between Worlds without the green ring, you will never get out unless somebody come into that place and save you. You will be stuck in a place in the middle of no way. This is just what happened to Polly. She went into the Wood between Worlds without the green ring. If Digory hadn't come into that place with the green ring to save her, she will be staying there forever.....By the way, just imagine that the Wood between Worlds is so large that you will never reached the end.....and imagine the number of pools of water in that place and you will realise that there could be thousands or even millions of worlds.....

A Great Flick!!
Just forget about Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire because there’s another film that is worth watching. And the film is called The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I’m glad to be one of the first in Ipoh to watch this show (I watched the sneak peek midnight show in GSC Ipoh). But before you watch this movie, I recommend you to read the book first (You will understand the story better if you do so).
What is so great about this movie? This is some of my views about the movie… This movie is breathtaking…brilliant…imaginative….wonderful…magical….While you’re watching, you’ll feel like you don’t want to miss a moment. I actually quite a big fan of the Narnia trilogy and when Lucy (a character in the book/movie) first set foot in Narnia, I felt like I’m seeing Narnia for the first time. It’s a moment you’ll never forget if you’re a big fan… If you had watched The Lord of The Rings and you love watching that show… then, this is a movie not to be miss!!
Actually, The Chronicles of Narnia was written by C.S. Lewis, a great friend of our favourite The Lord of the Rings trilogy writer, J.R.R Tolkien. But don’t you compare The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of The Rings. In my opinion, they are very different. Some of you might think that The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy is a more childish type of fantasy. What do you expect? The Chronicles of Narnia is a work for children while The Lord of The Rings is an adult fantasy trilogy.
What is so great about this movie? When I watched or read The Lord of The Rings trilogy, I felt excited; I felt like I'm part of the show; I felt like I’m part of the army in Middle-earth; I felt that there’s always hope whenever the darkness binds me… Everything that I felt came back when I’m watching the Chronicles of Narnia. When Aslan appears, I can see hope and power!! When you see Aslan, you not only see a lion. You see the biggest and the greatest lion you had ever seen!! His size is a small elephant's; his hair is like pure gold and the brightness of his eyes like gold that is liquid in the furnace. You can see that he is wild.... but he's not evil; he's good.
The battle scene in the movie is great and exciting. A battle that will make you chill. But anyway, if you compare this battle with the battles in The Lord of The Rings (Battle of Hornburg or Battle of Pelennor Fields), of course I will say that the battle in The Chronicles of Narnia is not as big and good as the battles in The Lord of The Rings. But The Chronicles of Narnia is after all a work for children. The battle in The Chronicles of Narnia is actually very different. Instead of the usual Men, Elves, Dwarves against Orcs, Uruk-hai, Trolls in The Lord of The Rings.... , the battle in The Chronicles of Narnia includes Talking Animals and magical creatures (Centeurs, Unicorns, Fauns) lead by the true kings and queens of Narnia (High King Peter, King Edmund, Queen Susan and Queen Lucy) and Aslan against an army of weird creatures, evil drawfs, evil wolves and evil giants lead by Queen Jadis ( The White Witch) . It doesn't get any better than this!!!
Enough of the story... I think you better watch the movie and described it yourself. The visual and sound effects are brilliant!! The effects played a key role in hte movie. It is the special effects that make you feel excited and you don't want to miss a moment. When the movie ended, I just feel like I want to watch it again and again. I think this is a movie not to be miss. If you watched it, you will fall in love with the Narnia..

Darker Magical World
If you had read all the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, you will realised that the magical world is getting darker and darker. And I'm not really excited about it. I'm actually felling quite confuse. I wonder why the magical world scariest criminal, Lord Voldemort, is trying so hard just to kill a magical school student? I'm actually not very excited about the Death Eaters or Lord Voldemort. I'm more into Hogwarts, magical creatures, spells and quidditch. I'm actually quite disappointed that the magical world is getting darker and darker.... There's too much death. Since the fourth book, there's been death. First, it's Cedric Diggory. Then, it's Sirius Black. Even Albus Dumbledore died (sixth book). So, who is going to die next?
By the way, this is only my opinion about Harry Potter books. What J.K. Rowling wrote is her latests Harry Potter books didn't really make sense to me. Voldemort trying so hard to kill Harry Potter... the Weasleys twins leaves school in the most dramatic way... Percy suddenly turned into another person and it's like he was brainwashed by the Ministry of magic... Sirius Black died when Harry needed him the most... Dumbledore ( a Gandalf figure), the most unlikely person to die, died and killed by the most unexpected person, Severus Snape. I thought Snape is on Dumbledore's side as he is part of the Order of the Phoenix even though he had mistreated Harry is some way....Cedric Diggory died being an innocent victim of the Dark Lord... Quidditch fans around the world being terrorized by the Death Eaters after the World Cup final... EVERYTHING is Negative points... Since after she wrote the forth book, she's turning Hogwarts into a warzone... Am I right? This isn’t good against evil.. This is like a place full of brightness being slowly swallowed up by darkness…
I prefer the world to be more magical. I wanted J.K. Rowling to focus more on Hogwarts, quidditch, magical creatures, spells and stuff like that, not Death Eaters or Voldemort! The Movie Version is Not So Magical...
I had finally watched 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'. And here is some of my views about the movie. I think that the movie is quite okey but I think everything in the movie is too fast. The return of Voldemort, the Triwizard Tournament! All exciting, but somewhat rushed. I notice that the Harry Potter movies are getting darker and darker... it's more like a triller. I think that the character, Professor Dumbledore is kind of uncalm and aggresive compared to the first movie. In the first movie, he is actually a character that is wise and calm. Dumbledore practically attacks Harry after learning he is the forth champion. Dumbledore acting like a raving lunatic, half ripping off Harry's head when his name pops out of the goblet. His whole character came off as harsh in this film. Totally ridiculious!!! I knew that it's quite impossible to follow the whole story of the book because there's too much details in the book. I personally think that the movie is quite okey. But compared to the first movie, I think that the first one is better. The reason is that the first one is simply more magical. By the way, I think that everything in the movie is too fast. In a word, it felt "rushed". There were too many litlle things that make Harry's world magical that were left out. There is a lot of scenes in the book that had been removed (simply because the books is getting thicker and thicker). And an extra half hour is exactly what was needed. A two and a half hour movie is not enough. The movie was only 2 ½ hours, maybe if they had made it 3 hours, it would have been great.
I think the fact that Harry is already at the Burrow is an unbelievably bad way to start the movie. The movie starts out with Harry being woken up at Ron's on the morning they are going to travel to the World Cup. By the way, where is Winky and Dobby? I thought both of them appear in the book. I loved the action set pieces in this movie...the Dragon challenge was exceptional, and the underwater sequences were perfect, but the maze...It could have been so much scarier. The beasts and creatures that challenge Harry and the others....missing. I expects the four Triwizard Champions to face tougher challenges. There should be magical creatures in the maze. Harry Potter actually faced with a Dementor ( a boggart) and a Blast-Ended Skrewt in the maze. But none of the creatures appeared in the movie. Just a bunch of running, high winds, an imperius Krum and some aggressive roots. It felt like it was over in 5 minutes. No drama, no feeling of danger. There was no point system with the Triwizard Tournament. They just said that Harry was tied for first place. If I had not read the books I would have no idea how he was in first place because scores were not given in the first task and he was second in the second task. Besides that, I'm quite disappointed that they didn't even shown much about the Quidditch World Cup. Where's the Omnioculars? It's like it's done in a hurry. It's just disappointing to anyone who has read the books. But I must say that the visual effects of the movie is brilliant. There a lot of jokes and funny moments that were added into the movie.
There is not enough emotions in Cho crying over Cedric, or Barty Crouch’s “I have no son.” When Dumbledore uses the name of he who should not be named, students don’t shudder. It's like no one is afraid of Lord Voldemort anymore. How can the Patel twins be able to be in the same common room if they are in different houses? Where were the woods Harry and the Weasleys were to hide in when the Death Eaters attacked? The Death Eaters show up but they're not bouncing muggles, they're torching all the camp sites. There is no Winky, no Dobby, no fat lady, no maurader’s map, no blast-ended skrewts, no goblins, no sphinx, no boggarts. There is no Ludo Bagman, no Bertha Jorkins, no Percy, no Mrs. Crouch, no Mrs. Weasley, no Professor Trelawney, no beetle Skeeter, and no Sirius Black and I think that the movie isn't really that magical.......... This movie didn't really capture the total spirit of the book.
There were so many changes from the book that it just didn't make sense. Most everything they cut out is important in the following book, The Order of the Phoenix. I wonder how the next movie will be? Tough job for the next director....
