I’ve been a fan of this club since I started watching football. Man Utd is just simply one of the biggest and richest club in the world. Over the last decade, they had won so many Premiership title and competitions such as the FA Cup and the European Champion’s League. I believe Man Utd’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is behind Man Utd every success. With players like Teddy Sheringham and Eric Cantona, they played a very attractive style of attacking football. On the other hand, their defence were very good. They had a world class goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, who is one of the best keeper in the world. Man Utd also had a great football academy. World class players such as David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, John O’Shea and Darren Fletcher all came from the football academy. It all seems goes well but after Peter Schmeichel move to another club, no one seems to able to replace him. Goalkeepers such as Fabian Barthez, Massimo Taibi, Mark Bosnich and Roy Carroll were unable to perform consistently. Last year, Roy Carroll and Tim Howard were the goalkeepers but both of them were unable to secure the first team place because of inconsistency. Man Utd finished third behind Chelsea and Arsenal. This year, they will try to bring back the glory they had befored. Man Utd had been bought over by sport tycoon, Malcolm Glazer. The English fans’ reaction was terrible but I don’t think the takeover will affects Man Utd’s performance on the field. The transfer window reopens and I ‘m really excited about the players they are bringing in. The most important transfer is most probably goalkeeper, Edwin Van der Sar’s transfer from Fulham. He’ s one of the tallest keeper in the league and he makes fantastic saves. I believe he’s the man replace Peter Schmeichel’s place. Other than that, the biggest move is most probably Park Ji Sung’s move from PSV. He’s a great player and he gives a lot of energy to the game. He’s most probably one of the reason why South Korea did so well in 2002 World Cup. I think the transfer is a smart move because he’s a important and useful player and he could attract the Asian market. Another goalkeeper, Ben Foster moves to Man Utd from Stoke. The players moving out of the club includes Roy Carroll (West Ham), Ricardo (Osasuna) and Phil Neville (Everton). I’m a bit upset about the transfer of Roy Carroll and Phil Neville. Both of them are great players but they were unable to secure a first team place. This may be the reason why they’re out. The transfer of Phil Neville means that he will be facing his former club and his brother, Gary Neville in the first Premiership match as Everton will be playing against Man Utd. I hope Man Utd will be able to play consistently and fight for the Premiership title against teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham. Ruud van Nistelrooy is definitely back to in form. He's just a fabulous goalscorer. In his first season, he was know as a goalscoring machine. With the combination of Nistelrooy and England sensation, Wayne Rooney, they will be every defenders' nightmare. On the other hand, Chistiano Ronaldo is simply magical. His dribbing skills is great and he gives pace to the game. Rio Ferdinand was the key defender of Man Utd. His defending tactics gives the opponent team's strikers no chance. GLORY, GLORY MAN UNITED.

I think Chelsea is a very different team now. Years ago, they are just a middle league team. With players like Gianfranco Zola, they played some attractive football. Now, they are a big and rich club after Roman Abramovich bought over the club. Last time, they barely use more than 10 million pound to buy players. Now, they had spent more than 100 million pound on players and changed the entire squad including the manager. And if you say money can’t buy the title, you are very wrong. Last season, Chelsea had been crowned as the Premiership champion. Impressive!!! Chelsea’s title is their first Premiership title after 50 years!! Chelsea’s manager, Jose Mourinho is probably the man behind Chelsea’s success. Now Chelsea is a brand new team with a new logo, a new sponsor and probably more new players. The transfer window reopens and you will wonder which star player will moves to the Blues and how much Chelsea will spend this season? Well, I guess the biggest move is Michael Essien from Lyon. His move cost Chelsea 25.9 million pound!!! Other than that, Shaun Wright-Phillips moves to Chelsea with a transfer deal that cost 21 million pound and Asier Del Horno moves to Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao with a transfer deal that cost 8 million pound!! So, Chelsea had spent around 55 million pound!!! But, of course there are some players moving out such as Mikael Forssell (Birmingham City), Juan Pablo Veron (my mistake.... it should be Juan Sebastian Veron)(Inter Milan), Scott Parker (Newcastle United) and Mateja Kezman (Atletico Madrid). Now, the season kicks off and Chelsea will celebrate their 100th years anniversary (founded in1905) by trying to retain the Premiership title. But do not underestimate teams like Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham. I believe that the challenges will be bigger and it will be a 5-horse race for the Premiership title. But Chelsea seems to be stronger one if you judge them by last season’s performance. Only time will tells……..

The Return Of The EPL

After a long 2 months break, the English Premier League is finally back and the best is yet to come. And there are many unanswered question. Which team will win? Which team will get relegated? Which manager will get sacked? Will Chelsea retain the title? Can Man Utd play consistently and fight for the Premiership title?...etc. I guess, the questions will be answered in the future. Only time will tells. By the way, let’s lean back and relax and enjoy the game. Ok, let me talk about the clubs one by one.

My Group cheer Posted by Picasa
LTC: LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP (continue)

( Second day of the camp) I have to wake up early for morning exercise... Barely had enough sleep.....More lectures and speeches from the principal, pk HEM and dicipline teacher....

After all the lectures and speeches, we had our exam. The exco's gives all sorts of weird and stupid questions in the general knowledge section...

Then, we played a game. It was called obstacles course.... And the worst part of the game is that we had a mud bath!! The mud enters my eyes and mouth....

At night, it was Malam Nostalgia.....One of the most boring event of camp... We had to dressed up nicely for the dinner.... The food tastes badly and I feel so sleepy.. Boring!!!!

After that, it was time to watch the sketches from each of the groups... I guess everyone was so sleepy, we slept instead of watching.... It was so boring.....

Then, we headed back to our dormitory to sleep....

On the last day of the camp, we played our last game. It was called Amazing Race... We had to do all sorts of tasks as quickly as possible... Tasks such as painting our face with blue paint, mud bath (again).......

At 2pm, the camp ended and I went back home.........
